Editorial Policies
Journals have editorial policies to ensure that their content is of high quality and that readers’ interests are prioritized. Based on WAME standards, the Society for Science and Education gives the Editors-in-Chief complete editorial autonomy, meaning they may select what the journal publishes and don’t have to worry about anybody else getting in the way of how manuscripts are evaluated.
All articles are written with the journal’s scope in mind, considering aspects such as thoroughness, ethics, scientific rigor, potential reader interest, applicability, and clarity. A manuscript’s acceptance is not contingent upon the author’s place of birth, citizenship, ethnicity, religion, politics, or any other personal information. No government agency or policy, outside from the newspaper, will make the call. Decisions are solely based on the paper’s validity and its relevance to scientific readers.
